General Charter Questions

How do I request a charter quotation?

Use the inquiry form on the contact page or any yacht page, email info@stbartsyacht.com, or call +1 (305) 515-4735. Include your date, group size, departure island and the kind of day you want — we reply with availability and written pricing.

Is an inquiry a confirmed reservation?

No. A submitted form is a quote request. Your charter is confirmed only when availability, routing, inclusions, terms and payment are agreed in writing.

Which destinations do you cover?

St. Barts (Saint-Barthélemy), French Saint Martin, Dutch Sint Maarten and Anguilla — including offshore cays such as Pinel, Tintamarre, Sandy Island and Prickly Pear, conditions and regulations permitting.

What yachts are available?

A fleet led by the 140 ft Blue Devil (up to 13 guests, seven crew), plus Sunseeker, Pershing, Azimut, Asandoa and Ulysses motor yachts and a modern catamaran. Availability changes — contact us for the current list.

What does Blue Devil cost?

Published base rates: €16,500 for a 4-hour charter and €19,950 for an 8-hour charter, local St. Martin fuel included. Gratuity (18%) and APA (25% for food and beverages) are not included, and out-of-area routes may carry additional fuel costs. All pricing is subject to change and confirmed in writing.

What are gratuity and APA?

Gratuity is the crew tip — listed at 18% for Blue Devil, not included in the base rate. APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) is a 25% allowance for food and beverages, also not included. Your quotation confirms exactly how each is calculated and settled.

Can we start in one island and end in another?

Often, yes — one-way charters between Saint Martin, St. Barts and Anguilla are quoted individually based on the yacht, schedule, fuel and clearance requirements. See the one-way charters page.

Where do charters depart from?

Depending on the yacht: the Simpson Bay area marinas on the Dutch side, Marina Fort Louis in Marigot on the French side, or Port de Gustavia in St. Barts. Your exact pickup is confirmed in writing with your booking.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The captain decides on safety. Options include rerouting to sheltered water, rescheduling subject to availability, or the cancellation terms in your charter agreement — provided in writing before you pay.

Can large yachts go directly to every beach?

No. Many famous stops — Colombier, Little Bay, Sandy Island — are enjoyed by anchoring nearby and going ashore by tender or for a swim. We never imply a yacht can dock at every beach.

Are marine reserve rules a problem for charters?

Not when handled properly — and we handle them properly. The Saint Martin Nature Reserve and protected areas around the cays have mooring and activity rules (no anchoring on coral, no drones, advance requests for overnight mooring at Tintamarre). Captains comply as standard.

Do you work with travel agents and concierges?

Yes — agents, villa concierges and hotel desks regularly place charters with us. The process is identical: inquiry, written quotation, written confirmation.
